| Password Policy |
An effort to enhance security of your trading account and as per guidelines of NSE & BSE, we have designed the password policy for all trading client. The password policy of Edelweiss are
- You will have login password. The user id and password can not be the same.
- You will have to compulsorily change your password every 14 days. The password shall automatically expire after 14 days. After the 14th day whenever you login to the site, you will be prompted to change the password… if you login for first time you need to compulsorily change the password.
- The password can not be same as last password.
- The password should be minimum of 8 Characters
- The password should be alphanumeric. It should contain a mix of number (0-9) and alphabets (A to Z). Please try to put special character like (*&^%$ etc) although it is not mandatory requirements.
- Your account will be locked if you enter wrong password for consecutive three times.
- For re-generation of password, please click on forgot password link .You need to give your PAN card and DP account no (registered with us). Once you enter correct PAN card and DP account no the new password will be mailed to you to your registered (with us- at the time of account opening) email address
